Pulmuone said on Aug. 14 that its second-quarter operating profit on a consolidation basis was 24.6 billion won, up 24% from a year earlier. Revenue for the period rose 6.5% to 893.6 billion won.
First-half revenue and operating profit were 1.7439 trillion won and 43.7 billion won, up 6.8% and 41.9%, respectively, from a year earlier.
A Pulmuone official said, "Overseas operations laid the groundwork for topline growth and revenue improvement, and domestic operations realized continued profit generation in food service distribution, driving increases in revenue and operating profit," and added, "In the second half, we plan to continue solid, profitability-based growth through profit generation in the domestic business and continued growth in overseas operations."
