Hyundai Green Food said on the 9th that the Jamsil main store of "Texas Roadhouse," which opened in April in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, surpassed 55,000 cumulative visitors 100 days after opening.
Texas Roadhouse is the No. 1 steak chain in the United States by sales, operating about 800 stores in 11 countries including the United States, Mexico and Taiwan. In Korea, Hyundai Green Food has operated seven locations since opening the first store at Hyundai Premium Outlet Space 1 in 2020.
Unlike existing domestic locations housed in department stores or outlets, the Jamsil main store is the first in Korea to open outside a retail facility.
Among weekday visitors to the store, groups of five or more account for an average of 41%, 10 percentage points higher than the average at other locations (31%).
Most group customers are office workers. The company said the trend of moderating alcohol consumption, led recently by Millennials and Gen Z, along with value-focused pricing amid rising dining-out costs, proved effective.
Hyundai Green Food plans to introduce a "delivery pack" at the Jamsil main store and Pangyo location, both office districts, offering a 10% discount when ordering six or more servings of popular à la carte items, and to sell kids' sets at the Jung-dong and Namyangju Space 1 locations, which are residential areas.
