Golfzon has released a new screen golf simulator that measures a golf ball's spin with artificial intelligence (AI) technology to reproduce the golfer's intended ball flight—such as fade or draw—exactly as aimed.
Golfzon said on the 31st it has launched a new franchise-only simulator, "TWOVISION NX PLUS." The product is supplied exclusively to Golfzon Park locations, the franchise brand of Golfzon.
The core of this product is the newly installed "AI spin sensor." A sensor mounted on the booth ceiling precisely measures the ball's rotation to reproduce a ball flight similar to real course play. It was developed by combining AI with Golfzon's accumulated shot data and spin-measurement technology. The company said golfers can execute shots suited to course-management situations—including not only left-right flights like fades and draws but also pitch shots, lob shots, and running approaches. Golfzon said that when it analyzed accuracy with G Tour pro players from its in-house screen golf tour, it confirmed that the intended ball flight was reproduced in categories such as fade/draw accuracy and spin-rate consistency.
Course graphics were also improved. About 120 "Reality CC" courses, which reproduce course undulation (the course's highs, lows, and contours), grass grain, and bunker sand texture with high-definition graphics based on aerial photography, were introduced exclusively for the new product. The rendering of sand in bunker shots and the depiction of divots and pitch marks were enhanced, and the run distance and direction of the ball on the green were reproduced more realistically. A 3.4-meter tour-fast option, faster than the existing "very fast," was added to the green speed settings.
Lee Jeong-woo, head of Golfzon's franchise business division, said, "We applied the AI spin sensor to create a screen golf environment that feels like an actual course," and added, "We will lead screen golf culture with differentiated technology."
