CJ CheilJedang(097950) said on the 29th that it launched the "Bibigo Signature Galbi Dumplings" in collaboration with its former employee, chef You Yong-wook.
Chef You worked at CJ CheilJedang for eight years, then opened and now runs the barbecue restaurant "Imok Smoke Dining."
After leaving the company, Chef You continued ties with CJ CheilJedang by working together on major events such as "The CJ Cup." CJ CheilJedang said that as a partner who understands the philosophy and taste quality of the "Bibigo" brand in depth, he directly participated from planning through overall development of this product.
The new "Bibigo Signature Galbi Dumplings" were developed inspired by Chef You's signature menu, "Beef Rib." They further emphasize a smoked aroma and preserve the texture of galbi. American-style barbecue sauce is combined with traditional Korean flavors.
CJ CheilJedang plans to expand its partnership with Chef You going forward. Starting with the "Bibigo Signature Galbi Dumplings," it will sequentially introduce various products, including the "Smokick Chicken Drumstick Steak," which captures Chef You's signature smoked aroma.
