CJ Olive Young said on the 21st that it will introduce an "AI task" screening in its experienced hiring for developer roles, replacing the existing coding test.
The openings are three roles: ▲ commerce platform engineer ▲ core platform engineer ▲ AI recommendation system engineer. Applicants must have at least two years of relevant experience, and applications are open until the 9th of next month.
This hiring round is notable for introducing an AI task instead of the existing live-coding format to discover AI talent. Instead of implementing code in real time within a set time, applicants will use AI to solve the task and submit their results.
Olive Young plans to use Krafton's hiring and evaluation solution "Cofa-Probe" to structure and evaluate from multiple angles the deliverables along with the problem definition approach, AI use and prompt writing, iterative improvement, and result verification.
To secure AI talent, Olive Young will also hold the "Krafton × Olive Young AI Hackathon" with Krafton on the 30th of this month. Olive Young will present real distribution-site issues as tasks. Winners of the Olive Young task will receive the benefit of passing the document screening in this hiring round.
An Olive Young official said, "As the development environment has changed, we have proactively changed how we discover talent," and added, "Through the AI task screening, we will find and train AI-native talent and continue to lead Retailtech innovation."
