Lotte Duty Free said on the 19th that it held an event on the 16th at the departure hall of Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 to mark the 100th day since the Incheon Airport store opened.
The event was attended by Lotte Duty Free CEO Kim Dong-ha, Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) Operations Division Head Kim Chang-gyu, and aespa, Lotte Duty Free's model group.
Attendees cut a ribbon to commemorate the 100th day of opening and toured the store. A handprinting event with aespa members and commemorative photos were also held.
To mark the 100th day since opening, Lotte Duty Free will run a customer promotion through on the 17th of next month. It will offer "PRE LDF PAY," which can be used when purchasing cosmetics, liquor, and food, on a weekly basis. It will also run the "LUCKY SEAT" event, giving 50,000 won in Incheon Airport store-exclusive LDF PAY to customers whose airplane seat numbers match the lucky numbers designated by Lotte Duty Free.
Customers who do not win the lucky seat will receive two types of travel pouches. Customers who spend $100 or more will receive Lotte Duty Free model photocards while supplies last.
In April, Lotte Duty Free began operating cosmetics and perfume, liquor and tobacco, and food stores in Incheon Airport's Duty-Free Zone 1 (DF1). It is a return after about three years since withdrawing from Incheon Airport in June 2023.
The business period is up to 10 years from the start of operations. Lotte Duty Free is operating about 240 brands across 15 stores with a total area of 4,094 square meters. The company expects the operation of the Incheon Airport store to generate an annual sales expansion effect of more than 600 billion won.
Lotte Duty Free is expanding exclusive products and experiential content sold at the Incheon Airport store in line with the recovery in passenger demand. While using the Incheon Airport store as a base to build a growth foundation focused on profitability, it plans to strengthen its competitiveness as a global duty-free operator.
At the ceremony, Lotte Duty Free CEO Kim Dong-ha said, "The successful establishment of the Incheon Airport store is a meaningful achievement made possible by customer trust and close cooperation with Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC)," adding, "Lotte Duty Free will continue to set a new standard for duty-free shopping at Incheon Airport based on differentiated product competitiveness and services."
