Atomy Co. toothpaste surpassed $5 million in annual exports last year for the first time among individual quasi-drug items, ranking No. 1 in exports for the fifth straight year.
Atomy Co. said on the 9th that, based on the Ministery of Food and Drug Safety (Ministery of Food and Drug Safety) released "2025 drug and quasi-drug production and export performance," exports of Atomy Toothpaste and Atomy Toothpaste Plus last year totaled $5,143,000.
Atomy Co. toothpaste posted the highest export performance among individual quasi-drug items and was the only one to exceed $5 million in exports. It maintained the No. 1 spot in quasi-drug exports for five consecutive years from 2021 through last year.
LG H&H's "Euthymol TM Toothpaste" recorded $4,073,000, and Young Chemical's "Somaderm Spot-S" recorded $3,902,000, placing second and third, respectively. An Atomy Co. official said, "We will continue working to introduce products with reasonable prices and quality to the global market."
Meanwhile, according to the Ministery of Food and Drug Safety, total quasi-drug exports last year fell 10.2% from a year earlier. In contrast, Atomy Co. toothpaste exports rose 4.1%. The size of Korea's quasi-drug market (production performance) grew 4.9% from a year earlier on the strength of toothpaste and sanitary products, and toothpaste production came to 451.5 billion won, up 11.5%.
