Signs of a personal data leak were found at the Korea Food Industry Association.
On the 28th, according to the food industry, on the 26th the association announced this on its website. It notified the actual parties whose personal information was leaked via individual text messages.
Through a notice, the association said, "During a system inspection on June 24, 2026, at Mediopia Tech, the contractor operating the education site, we confirmed indications of abnormal access, presumed to be an external attack, and the creation of a file containing personal information."
The personal data items suspected of being leaked this time include: ▲ID ▲encrypted password ▲name ▲gender ▲position ▲company phone number ▲mobile phone number ▲email address.
The association has isolated the affected server and blocked the attacking IP. It also strengthened the firewall and completed emergency security measures. The association said it has reported this to the relevant authorities and is cooperating with their investigation.
