Pulmuone Foodmerce, a foodservice distribution affiliate of Pulmuone, said on the 28th it signed a three-way memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Pohang Childcare Support Center and the School Meal Support Center to "establish healthy eating habits for infants and toddlers in Pohang."
According to Pulmuone Foodmerce, the signing ceremony was held on the 26th at the Pohang Childcare Support Center in Buk-gu, Pohang. The event was attended by Choi Min-jun, Pulmuone Foodmerce branch manager, Park Jeong-tae, head of the Pohang Childcare Support Center, and Park Chun-bae, head of the Pohang School Meal Support Center.
The agreement was pursued to support children's healthy growth and development and the formation of healthy eating habits in cooperation with daycare centers, kindergartens, schools, and agencies promoting child care services in Pohang. Under the agreement, the three institutions will cooperate on ▲ information sharing to establish proper diets for infants and toddlers and ensure safe meals ▲ planning and operating education programs for infants, toddlers, and parents ▲ expanding the use and promotion of local agricultural, fishery, and processed products.
They will also explore ways to improve welfare at daycare centers. Pulmuone Foodmerce plans to run education programs and a healthy food culture campaign for infants, toddlers, and parents in Pohang with the partner institutions. In addition, to boost the local food ecosystem and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, it will promote local food to expand distribution of Pohang's agricultural, fishery, and processed products in North Gyeongsang.
Choi Min-jun, Pulmuone Foodmerce branch manager, said, "We are pleased that this agreement will allow us to further enhance the health of infants, toddlers, and students in Pohang, as well as mutual growth with the community," adding, "We will continue to grow together with the region through practical cooperation with the local community."
Earlier, on the 9th, Pulmuone Foodmerce signed an MOU to help establish healthy eating habits for infants, toddlers, and users of welfare facilities in Ongjin County, Incheon, Gyeonggi.
