Domino's Pizza said on the 25th that it held an event at the Wonju Veterans Nursing Home in Gangwon to deliver pizzas to national merit awardees to mark Patriots and Veterans Month in June and the June 25 anniversary.
According to Domino's Pizza, an event was held the previous day at the Wonju Veterans Nursing Home to deliver pizzas to about 100 Korean War veterans and national merit awardees. The event was planned to express gratitude to national merit awardees who dedicated themselves to the country.
On site, Domino's Pizza also used its mobile pizza-making vehicle, "Party Car." The Party Car is Domino's Pizza's mobile food truck that cooks and serves pizzas on site. Because pizzas can be baked and handed over immediately on site, merit awardees were able to enjoy warm pizzas, Domino's Pizza said.
A Domino's Pizza official said, "Marking Patriots and Veterans Month, we find it meaningful that we can convey our gratitude with warm pizza to the national merit awardees who made today's Republic of Korea possible," adding, "We will continue social contribution activities that remember the heroes of our society and put love for neighbors into practice."
Earlier, on the 11th, Domino's Pizza supported pizzas at a blood donation site held with the Korean Red Cross to mark World Blood Donor Day on June 14. It sent the Party Car to a blood donation event at Korea Polytechnics Nam Incheon Campus to provide freshly baked pizzas to donors.
Meanwhile, to mark the July summer vacation, Domino's Pizza is recruiting, through July 1, applicants who want a pizza party via the "Party Car," as well as applicants among children and teenagers to participate in "Pizza Class Together," which offers hands-on pizza-making experiences.
