Coway is focusing on sales of its segmented "Icon ice water purifier" tailored to family composition, kitchen size, and ice consumption.
On the 22nd, according to Coway, the company launched the Icon ice water purifier Mini, which can be placed in studio apartments and ultra-compact kitchens, reflecting the trend of more single-person households and decreasing living space per person. It is a product that can be chosen when the kitchen is narrow, such as in studio apartments and officetels where one- to two-person households mainly live. Although its width is about 20 cm, it is equipped with a "dual rapid ice-making system" that can produce fresh ice about every 9 minutes and 30 seconds. It can make up to 615 pieces of ice per day.
For households of three or more that use ice more frequently, the company released the "Icon ice water purifier Standard." Compared with the Icon ice water purifier Mini, its ice tank is more than twice as large, allowing storage of up to 1.1 kg of ice at once. It is suitable for making several iced drinks in a row.
For large families and small offices, the company released the "Icon ice water purifier Max (MAX)." It features an ice storage capacity of 2.1 kg. Users can also choose the ice size. Representative options are the standard small ice weighing about 7 g, large ice at 9 g, and nugget ice.
A Coway official said the company "rounded out the lineup so a wide range of consumers can be satisfied, from single-person households with narrow kitchens to large families with ample demand for ice."
