Seo Ho-jung, the second daughter of Seo Kyung-bae, chairman of Amorepacific Group, is getting married. The prospective groom is said to be a consultant at a foreign investment firm who is the same age as Seo.
According to related industries on the 21st, Seo will hold a wedding at 6:30 p.m. that day at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The two are said to have met through an acquaintance's introduction and dated. The ceremony will be conducted mainly for invited guests, including family and acquaintances.
Born in 1995, Seo graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in the United States. Afterward, she joined Osulloc, an affiliate of Amorepacific Group, as a new employee. She drew industry attention at the time for starting her career at Osulloc rather than Amorepacific, the group's flagship affiliate. Seo is currently said to be in charge of product development and marketing at Osulloc.
Seo has also drawn attention regarding the management succession structure as she received equity as a gift from her father, Chairman Seo. In 2023, Seo received shares of Amorepacific Holdings as a gift. On Feb., she additionally received 190,000 common shares of Amorepacific worth 30 billion won from Chairman Seo. This is to secure funds to pay the gift tax on the previously received holdings shares.
Until now, Seo has had fewer public activities than her older sister, Seo Min-jung. However, since joining Osulloc last year, interest has grown in her role within the group and her future path. The chairman's elder daughter, Seo Min-jung, joined Amorepacific in 2017 and has been on long-term leave since 2023.
