Lotte Himart said on the 12th that it has tapped Executive Vice President Kim Jong-yun as the new CEO.
Born in 1978, the nominee Kim built experience in business strategy, marketing, and new business development at Google, McKinsey & Company, and Yanolja.
At Yanolja, Kim served as chief strategy officer (CSO), chief business officer (CBO), and CEO of Yanolja Cloud. During the tenure, Kim led global fundraising, expansion of the business portfolio, and entry into overseas markets, and also contributed to establishing an AI- and data-driven operating system and a cloud-based software (SaaS) business model.
Lotte Himart assessed the nominee Kim as an execution-focused manager who has driven business innovation based on data-driven decision-making capabilities and global business operation experience.
As Lotte Himart is accelerating business structure improvements and strengthening competitiveness in line with changes in the home appliance market environment, the company expects the nominee Kim's strategic experience and youthful sensibility to bolster corporate innovation and the search for new growth engines.
Meanwhile, Lotte Group shifted from regular personnel appointments to an as-needed executive personnel system to respond flexibly to global management uncertainties and speed up business execution.
