Emart24 said on the 5th that it will introduce the OK Cashback service, a leading points platform in Korea, to expand customer benefits.
Under this partnership, customers can earn 5 points per 1,000 won—0.5% of the payment amount—as OK Cashback when purchasing products at Emart24. Points can be used once at least 10 points are held.
Emart24 will also run a special promotion throughout June to mark the launch of the OK Cashback service. During this period, customers who purchase products at Emart24 will earn OK Cashback points at 5%, 10 times the usual rate.
An event for OK Cashback app users has also been prepared. Throughout June, the first 10,000 users on the OK Cashback app will receive 1,000 Ddeutum Points usable at Emart24 stores.
OK Cashback is a major domestic points platform with 28 million cumulative members. Points can be earned and used like cash at more than 90,000 locations nationwide. Emart24 plans to expand the scope of customers' points usage through this partnership and strengthen practical earning benefits to improve customer satisfaction.
Emart24 will also introduce, starting in July, a function that links OK Cashback to the Emart24 app's unified barcode. If customers link OK Cashback in advance, points will be automatically credited when only the Emart24 app barcode is scanned in store.
Emart24 has recently accelerated efforts to broaden customer touchpoints by expanding external memberships, easy payments, and telecom partnerships in succession. A representative example is the Toss Pay "All-Day Ten Ten" membership introduced early this year. When paying in-store with Toss Pay Money or a bank account, customers receive a 10% instant discount and 10% points simultaneously.
It is also broadening points partnerships. Emart24 signed a strategic business agreement with CJ ONE last year and began CJ ONE point earning and usage services at stores nationwide in March this year. By linking CJ ONE in the Emart24 app, points are automatically credited at checkout, and overlapping accrual with Shinsegae Points is also enabled to enhance tangible benefits for existing customers.
Telecom memberships have also been expanded. Following its existing KT membership discounts, Emart24 added LG Uplus membership benefits starting last month. LG Uplus VVIP and VIP customers receive a 100 won discount per 1,000 won, and preferred members receive a 50 won discount per 1,000 won.
An Emart24 official said, "We introduced the OK Cashback service to support customers' rational spending in a high inflation era and to broaden their choice of payment methods," and added, "Through various promotions to commemorate the service launch, we will provide customers with practical benefits and contribute to increased sales at franchise stores."
