Chambit Group said on the 5th that ONVIT, a fine-dining restaurant at Grand Plaza Hotel Hanoi in Hanoi, Vietnam, won 1 star in the Michelin Guide Vietnam 2026.
Michelin Guide announced the fourth selection for Vietnam on the 4th and introduced a total of 193 restaurants in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. Of these, 11 received one Michelin star, and ONVIT was the only restaurant in Hanoi newly awarded a Michelin star.
According to Chambit Group, ONVIT is the first modern Korean fine-dining restaurant in Vietnam to receive a Michelin star. Chambit Group noted that "ONVIT (溫빛) means warm light and symbolizes a gentle, delicate presence and direction," adding, "It conveys the intention to respect culture with subtle expression and to welcome guests with warm sincerity."
ONVIT aims to translate the deep heritage of Korean cuisine into an elegant fine-dining experience while capturing the atmosphere of Vietnam and the beauty of local ingredients. Each dish embodies the meaning of cultural exchange linking Korea and Vietnam. The preservation of tradition and sustainability, the touch of craftsmanship, and the spirit of meticulous hospitality are designed to be conveyed naturally throughout the guest experience.
In this award, not only the food's completeness but also service and wine pairing received high marks. Mai Bich Ngoc of ONVIT received the special award in the sommelier category at the concurrent Michelin Special Awards ceremony. Chambit Group said it was a meaningful achievement in that ONVIT was recognized not only for its cuisine but also for wine pairing, beverage curation, and professionalism in customer care and service.
Chambit Group has developed a variety of global tourism and leisure businesses, including hotels, golf and resorts, centered on Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel. ONVIT's one Michelin star is seen as recognition of the group's premium hotel operating capabilities and competitive culinary content built in Vietnam on an international level.
Lee Ho-sung, vice chairman of Grand Plaza Hotel, said, "ONVIT's one Michelin star is a meaningful achievement that shows the premium culinary experience and service quality pursued by Grand Plaza Hotel Hanoi are recognized internationally," adding, "We will continue to provide differentiated culinary content and refined hotel service to domestic and international customers visiting Hanoi."
