Shinsegae Live Shopping said on the 28th that it will take the lead in the home shopping industry by introducing a quick delivery specialty service, "Jigeum Quick," in partnership with CJ Logistics. The service delivers customer-ordered products immediately across Seoul. It was developed by linking CJ Logistics' "Baroone" service with Shinsegae Live Shopping's logistics system.
Jigeum Quick aims to deliver products within five hours after a broadcast ends. Some customers near logistics hubs may receive their orders within an hour. Unlike one-off services that operate only during specific periods like holiday quick delivery, it is designed to enable faster, always-on delivery of broadcast products by advancing the in-house delivery network. It will initially operate across Seoul and later expand serviceable areas to Gyeonggi Province.
The applicable product categories will start with items with high immediate-receipt demand. Products that can be used or eaten as soon as they arrive, such as beauty items and shelf-stable foods, will be prioritized, and the scope will be expanded to fashion items after gauging customer response.
The operation model places inventory in advance by region based on sales data and ships immediately after the broadcast ends. Shinsegae Live Shopping plans to expand investment in fast delivery to shorten the wait time after ordering and focus on improving the purchase experience.
Shinsegae Live Shopping expects that the introduction of Jigeum Quick will significantly reduce the time from when customers watch a broadcast to when they receive products. It also expects that fast delivery will raise customer satisfaction while creating a structure that leads to immediate purchases during broadcasts, contributing to a higher conversion rate.
Quick commerce is already active in e-commerce, delivery platforms, and hypermarket and convenience store apps, but in home shopping it has operated only during specific periods such as holidays. That is because orders surge at once according to the broadcast schedule and there are many partner-fulfilled items, making it difficult to build an ultra-short delivery network. Shinsegae Live Shopping plans to build a differentiated brand image of "home shopping where you watch and receive right away" and to continuously advance its delivery service system over the medium to long term.
Han Hye-rim, an executive director overseeing support at Shinsegae Live Shopping, said, "We will greatly shorten the time interval from order to delivery completion to change the standard for customer experience," adding, "We will continue efforts to strengthen delivery capabilities and enhance competitiveness."
