Kim Dong-man, executive director at Haitai Ice Cream Co. and the second son of Binggrae Chairman Kim Ho-Youn, was appointed president of Binggrae.
On the 18th, industry sources said Kim was assigned to oversee Binggrae's overseas business after Haitai Ice Cream Co. was recently absorbed and merged into Binggrae. Under the company's internal rules, he was appointed with the title of president.
Kim joined Haitai Ice Cream Co. in early 2023 and, as executive director, has overseen overall management. During that time, Kim Dong-hwan, the eldest son of Chairman Kim, has built management experience at Binggrae, while the second son, Kim Dong-man, has done so at Haitai Ice Cream Co.
Binggrae plans to strengthen its ability to respond to the global market, where growth continues, by putting Kim in charge of overseas business.
A Binggrae official said, "He was appointed president in the process of Binggrae and Haitai, which had been separate legal entities, merging," adding, "He will take charge of overseas exports and new global businesses to actively respond to overseas markets, and we plan to strengthen new market development and business expansion."
