E-Mart24 said on the 17th it opened Hangang Renaissance Nanji No. 1, with a "Rider Park" concept, and Hangang Renaissance Nanji No. 2, with a "Beer Camp" concept, in Nanji Hangang Park.
According to E-Mart24 that day, the new stores are stay-type convenience stores designed so customers can enjoy and linger by the Han River. E-Mart24 reflected the fact that Nanji Hangang Park is a commercial area with high demand for outdoor activities such as riding, camping and performances, and differentiated the spatial design and product lineup.
Both stores operate with a duplex structure. Rider Park is about 160㎡ (48 pyeong), and Beer Camp is about 119㎡ (36 pyeong). The first floor is arranged as a convenience store space focused on beverages and ready-to-eat meals, while the second floor is set up as a dining and rest area that captures views of the Han River and a city camping vibe.
In particular, both stores have a full-window design on the second floor so visitors can enjoy a 270-degree panoramic view of the Han River. They noted visitors can see the river change by time of day, from daytime scenery to sunset and night views. Some areas of Rider Park feature open folding doors to let customers feel the seasons.
For the spatial presentation, they collaborated with the domestic premium camping gear brand CARGO CONTAINER. They applied an outdoor-style design to the exterior and interior of the stores and placed camping chairs and tables on the second floor. The aim was to allow customers to dine and rest as if they were in an actual camping space.
Product lineups also differ by store. Considering Rider Park's location near a Han River bicycle rental station, it was designed as a rest hub for rider customers. The first floor expands offerings of energy drinks, pouch beverages and cup ice. On the second floor, they installed a large ramen display and, reflecting demand for Han River ramen, stocked about twice as many bagged ramen varieties as a typical store.
They also prepared dedicated convenience spaces for rider customers. Considering bike-theft concerns and potential damage from using standard racks, they installed dedicated racks and dining tables.
Beer Camp was planned as a beer-specialty store, reflecting the characteristics of its location near Youth Plaza, where large concerts are held, and the Mapo pet camping site. The second floor of the store has seven refrigerators dedicated to beer. Considering many visitors come in groups such as families and friends, they also strengthened value-for-money beer packs and snack items.
E-Mart24 will also operate a SAPPORO brand zone through the end of June to coincide with Beer Camp's opening. Going forward, it plans to introduce brand collaborations and trendy alcoholic beverages by season and expand customer-participation events such as tastings in line with nearby festival schedules.
