Yanolja announced that it will run a promotion through the 31st of this month that credits 3% of the total airfare payment as Yanolja points. The accrual cap is up to 100,000 points.
The promotion applies to round-trip international tickets with both departure and return in August. Customers can participate by pressing the "Apply for payback" button on the event page and then paying for the ticket. Points will be credited on the 10th of the following month based on the return date, and can be used for six months from the payment date.
It also strengthened instant discounts covering all international routes. If the round-trip ticket payment amount is 200,000 won, 400,000 won, or 600,000 won or more, it offers an instant discount of 10,000 won, 20,000 won, and 30,000 won, respectively. For payments of 1 million won or more, the discount is 50,000 won, and for 2 million won or more, 100,000 won. Instant discounts apply only to tickets marked with the "Instant discount" badge.
Yanolja plans to reduce the burden of purchasing airline tickets through point payback and instant discounts by payment tier, and to offer practical benefits to customers preparing for overseas travel during the summer vacation season.
Meanwhile, analysis of Yanolja's small-city reservation data in Japan from January to last month found that, compared to the same period a year earlier, bookings for small-city overseas accommodations increased by about 1.4 times and transaction value increased by about 1.6 times. It is interpreted that travel to small cities has gained momentum as preference has grown for nearby destinations with relatively lower fuel surcharges and as low-cost carriers (LCCs) have expanded direct routes to small cities.
Baek Se-jin, head of Yanolja's campaign marketing team, said, "With the summer vacation season approaching and the burden of airfare prices rising, we prepared a promotion that allows customers to feel tangible benefits," and added, "We hope this promotion helps people prepare for travel more practically."
