AB InBev, the global headquarters of Oriental Brewery, was selected as the Creative Marketer of the Year 2026 awarded by the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
According to Oriental Brewery on the 11th, AB InBev was selected as Creative Marketer of the Year after its achievements were recognized, including winning a total of 37 Lions awards at Cannes Lions last year. AB InBev has won this award three times in total, in 2022, 2023 and 2026. Three wins are the first in Cannes Lions history.
Cannes Lions, which hosts the world's most prestigious creativity festival, has awarded this honor annually since 1992 to global corporations that drive brand innovation and business growth through creative marketing activities. Past winners include Apple, Coca-Cola, Google, Samsung Electronics and Microsoft.
Simon Cook, CEO of Cannes Lions, said, "AB InBev is a corporations that, led by its management, has made creativity a core company value and built a system that connects it to actual sales growth," adding, "It has consistently proven those results across overall company operations beyond marketing."
Marcel Marcondes, AB InBev global chief marketing officer (CMO), said, "Creativity is the driving force behind sustained growth," adding, "Winning three times in five years is the result of consistently building brands consumers love. I am grateful to our teams and partners around the world who contributed to delivering record-high sales with this win."
AB InBev has continued to stand out across major global marketing indicators. Cannes Lions juries have highly evaluated AB InBev's creativity, and last year entries from 10 countries won across 15 categories. In the Effie Index, which evaluates the tangible business impact of marketing campaigns, it was recognized for its capabilities by being named the World's Most Effective Marketer for four consecutive years.
Under Kantar BrandZ, a global brand valuation agency, eight of the 10 most valuable beer brands in the world were AB InBev brands, among which Corona ranked No. 1 for the second consecutive year.
AB InBev is scheduled to take the stage at the Cannes Lions award ceremony in Cannes, France, on Jun. 26 to receive the Creative Marketer of the Year 2026 trophy.
