Lotte Chilsung Beverage said on the 7th it has released two varieties of the energy drink "Hot Six Glow," which ease concerns about caffeine, sugar, and calories.
According to Lotte Chilsung that day, Hot Six Glow comes in "Apple & Pomelo" and "Peach & Apricot." Apple & Pomelo blends green tea flavor with apple and pomelo aromas, while Peach & Apricot adds peach and apricot aromas to hibiscus tea. Apple & Pomelo offers a refreshing scent, and Peach & Apricot offers a sweet scent, allowing consumers to choose based on preference.
Hot Six Glow contains 80 mg of caffeine derived from green coffee beans. It includes tea catechins, green tea concentrate, and lemon balm extract. It is also zero sugar and zero calorie, easing concerns about sugar and calories.
As more consumers look for drinks with reduced sugar and calories, the beverage industry is expanding zero-sugar, zero-calorie lineups from carbonated drinks to tea, ion drinks, and energy drinks. Products with plant-derived ingredients or functional raw materials are also on the rise.
A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, "Hot Six Glow differentiates itself from conventional energy drinks by using plant-derived caffeine and lowering caffeine, sugar, and calories so it can be enjoyed lightly in everyday life," adding, "We plan to expand consumer touchpoints through various promotions, including sampling events, to widely promote Hot Six Glow."
