K-beauty corporations APR was listed among the 100 most influential companies in the world selected by the U.S. newsweekly Time. It is the only Korean corporations this year. It is the first case for a K-beauty corporations. Until now, Samsung, Hyundai Motor, Kia, and Hanwha had been selected.
On the 2nd (local time), Time's website showed that APR was selected in the "Titans" institutional sector, meaning giant corporations that dominate their industries. Companies named in the same institutional sector include Nvidia, Google, SpaceX, Meta, and Saudi Aramco.
Time described APR with the nickname "the global K-beauty phenom" and said it "is leading the next wave of growth in global K-beauty."
Time introduced that the corporations started by Kim Byung-hoon, chief executive officer (CEO), in 2014 with less than $3,500 (about 5.2 million won) in capital has risen, by market capitalization, to Korea's largest beauty corporations, overtaking rival conglomerate Amorepacific.
It also detailed the growth pace shown in the United States. Time said, "APR's annual sales in 2025 exceeded $1 billion, and 80% of that comes from overseas," and added, "APR's brand "Medicube" is enjoying overwhelming popularity on social networking services (SNS) including TikTok, and heavyweight influencers such as Alix Earle, Hailey Bieber, and Kylie Jenner are recommending the product."
