Josun Hotels & Resorts is rolling out cake products and hands-on events aimed at families in May, the month for families. It is a strategy targeting demand during the golden holiday that includes Children's Day, Parents' Day, and Labor Day.
At major Josun Deli stores in Seoul, Busan, and Jeju, each hotel has released limited-season cakes. Josun Palace's "Josun Deli The Boutique" unveiled three items, including the "Ieum Flower Cake," inspired by the traditional hanbok accessory norigae, the strawberry cake "Blooming Carnation," and the children's cake "Lucky Ducky Family."
The Westin Josun Seoul's "Josun Deli" prepared four cakes, including Red Velvet, Earl Grey, and chocolate. Gravity Josun Seoul Pangyo is introducing "Sweet Memory," which uses black sesame and red bean, and the chocolate cake "Black Tiara." Hotels in Busan and Jeju have also released seasonal products featuring carnation-decorated cakes and fruits such as apple mango and cherry.
It also expanded hands-on programs aimed at families with children. L'Escape Hotel will run a kids' atelier starting at 10:30 a.m. on the 1st in partnership with the French Embassy's cultural section, where participants read French fairy tales and do creative activities. Gravity Josun Pangyo has launched an experiential package to learn K-pop choreography.
The Westin Josun Busan is launching a room package for guests with children and will host kids' events that include a DJ performance and face painting at the pool and garden. Grand Josun Busan will hold a drawing contest and a speed caricature event. Grand Josun Jeju has prepared a magic show and kids' experience programs.
Promotions are also being offered in the food and beverage (F&B) area to capture family month demand. The Westin Josun Seoul's Chinese restaurant Hongyeon is introducing a Parents' Day course centered on nourishing dishes, and the American wine-and-dine Nine's Gate is offering discounts for family diners. Buffet restaurants such as Andish in Pangyo and Aria in Busan have also prepared children's events and prize giveaways.
