OTOKI said on the 30th that it will launch a new product, "Royal Ramen," to mark the 30th anniversary of its flagship product Yeul Ramen. The release date is May 18.
Royal Ramen is a product that reflects a hit recipe using Yeul Ramen. The core of this recipe is to boil Yeul Ramen in milk and then add cheddar cheese. It became a sensation as a K rosé stir-fried noodle–style recipe, surpassing 1 million views on YouTube. There were also consumer requests to turn this recipe into a product.
Adding cheddar cheese, mascarpone cheese, and cream to Yeul Ramen's signature spiciness gives Royal Ramen a spicy yet thick and savory flavor that stands out as its key feature. In particular, using smooth-textured mascarpone cheese created a deep, premium rosé flavor.
In particular, both the packet and cup versions use the "bokjak-bokjak cooking method," which does not drain the water, so anyone can easily enjoy a rich and thick texture. The heat level is also lower than the original Yeul Ramen so consumers new to spicy food or foreigners can enjoy it without burden.
An OTOKI official said, "As the Royal Ramen recipe has been spotlighted again on social media (SNS) recently, there have been many consumer requests for commercialization," and noted, "We focused on delivering a K rosé flavor worthy of the name 'Royal.'"
