SSG.com said on the 30th it will launch a new financial product, "SSG Money KB Account," developed in partnership with KB Kookmin Bank that combines shopping benefits and financial services.
SSG Money KB Account is a lifestyle-focused comprehensive financial service designed so customers can sign up for the product and make payments all at once within the SSG.com app without moving to a separate banking application. It was designated an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission last year.
SSG Money KB Account offers an annual rate of up to 4.0% on balances up to 2 million won. When the account is registered with the simple payment service SSGPAY, a dedicated payment method, "SSG KB Money Payment," is automatically created. Customers can pay on SSG.com right away without a separate top-up process, enhancing shopping convenience.
The interest payout method was also tailored for user convenience. If customers apply for the "receive interest daily" service, the interest is reflected immediately so they can feel the compounding effect.
Rewards were also enhanced. When using "SSG KB Money Payment," 2.0% of the payment amount is earned as SSG MONEY. This is 0.5 percentage points higher than the existing 1.5% accrual rate for top-up payments.
In addition, SSG.com unveiled "SSG KB Shopping Installment Savings," which applies an annual rate of up to 5.0% depending on payment performance, expanding customer choices.
Financial support for marketplace sellers will also be expanded. SSG.com and KB Kookmin Bank will open a new "seller-only financial products section" to support small businesses' cash management. They plan to continuously introduce customized financial products, including an installment savings product with an annual rate of up to 6.0%, to help partners operate their businesses stably.
A launch promotion is also underway. Through May 31, SSG.com will offer coupons worth up to 10,000 won to customers who sign up for "SSG Money KB Account" and use "SSG KB Money Payment." New KB Kookmin Bank customers will also receive a "100-won deal" benefit to buy popular SSG.com products for 100 won.
