Wine importer NARA CELLAR said 24 products, including two "Best of 2026" top honors, were selected for the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
On the 29th, according to NARA CELLAR, the steady seller "Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon" recorded the highest score in the red wine New World category and won the top award. Montes Alpha, Chile's first premium wine, has surpassed cumulative domestic sales of 17 million bottles.
"Ognostro White," which shared the top award, received the highest score in the natural wine category. Vinified from the Fiano variety harvested from 30- to 60-year-old vines in Campania, Italy, it is said to deliver both the distinctive liveliness and depth of natural wine.
Category awards followed. In the red wine category, "Masseria Azzurra Primitivo," "Prezio Romagna Sangiovese Superiore Riserva," "Montes Select Cabernet Sauvignon," "Calera Central Coast Pinot Noir," and "Grgich Hills Napa Valley Merlot" won awards. In the white wine category, they were "Donnafugata Anthìlia," "Cantina Tramin Gewürztraminer," and "Jules Taylor Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc." In the sparkling wine category, "Roger Goulart Brut Millesimé" was selected.
NARA CELLAR also posted notable results in the whisky and sake categories. The single malt "Nc'nean Organic Single Malt Whisky" won in the Scotch Standard category, and six sakes, including "Sakaya Hachibei," "Senkin Modern," and "Shichiken Sparkling," took awards.
A NARA CELLAR official said, "Achieving 24 crowns this time is the result of the quality-focused curation NARA CELLAR has pursued being recognized once again," adding, "We will continue to lead Korea's drinking culture by presenting a diverse range of high-quality beverages, including wine, whisky, and sake."
