Singer Soyou's highball brand "Sso Highball" saw its new product "Aesabi Highball" win the grand prize in the spirits and liqueurs category at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
According to Sso Highball, Aesabi Highball is designed with a focus on health-management trends. Based on zero sugar (0 g of sugars) and about 23 kcal per 100 ml to reduce calorie concerns, it preserves the crisp flavor unique to apple cider vinegar.
In particular, Soyou's direct participation in the recipe development process stands out. Known to regularly drink apple cider vinegar, Soyou was involved in sampling and flavor adjustment, reflecting consumer needs that value both taste and ingredients, the company said.
As the RTD and highball markets have recently evolved to combine functional concepts with lifestyle elements, the industry views Aesabi Highball as one example that reflects this trend. Analysts say it aligns with a consumption trend that seeks health and enjoyment at the same time.
Released on Jan. 1, "Aesabi Highball" quickly sold out its initial inventory soon after sales began nationwide at GS25. Sso Highball said it is preparing online and offline appreciation events to mark the award. Sso Highball won for the second straight year, following last year's grand prize in the same category for its baijiu highball.
