The yuzu liqueur from the Chinese baijiu brand "Jiangxiaobai" won the grand prize in the spirits category at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
According to Hangang Global on the 29th, Jiangxiaobai is a light-aroma baijiu brand made by fermenting and distilling red sorghum (gaoliang) from the Chongqing region of China, and it has targeted young consumers with a casual concept and clean taste.
The award-winning yuzu liqueur is a product that blends fruit into a distilled spirit, promoted under the concept of "the meeting of vodka and yuzu." With its refreshing yuzu aroma and smooth texture, it is said to offer a drinking experience that sets it apart from conventional baijiu.
The product is one of the new lineup released alongside peach- and grape-flavored liqueurs and is gaining traction mainly among Millennials and Gen Z. It has also become popular as a souvenir among Korean tourists visiting Shanghai recently.
