Nongshim said on the 28th that it will release Nurungji Pop spicy flavor on May 18.
The product is the second from the Nurungji Pop brand, which reinterprets the traditional snack nurungji as a convenient snack.
Nongshim noted that Nurungji Pop surpassed cumulative sales of 8.2 million units one year after its launch in April last year.
A Nongshim official said, "Nurungji Pop spicy flavor is a product with a distinctive appeal that brings out the savory and spicy taste of teppan fried rice style," adding, "We will continue to expand the Nurungji Pop brand and broaden consumer choice through products of various flavors and formats."
Nongshim plans to produce a new CM song advertisement for Nurungji Pop spicy flavor and carry out marketing, including running a trial group for office workers.
