Lotte Duty Free signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Paradise City to expand efforts to attract foreign tourists.
Lotte Duty Free resumed operations at its Incheon Airport store on the 17th of this month after three years and is accelerating efforts to secure foreign customers. Through this collaboration, the company plans to strengthen marketing targeting tourists visiting Korea.
The two companies agreed to build a consumer experience that combines shopping and entertainment, and to carry out joint marketing using customer data and channels. Through this, they will increase new customer inflow and revisit rates, and strengthen benefits for VIP customers by linking membership and premium services.
Lotte Duty Free will offer Paradise City guests an exclusive coupon book that includes discount coupons of up to $121, a membership upgrade, and PRE LDF PAY worth 90,000 won. Paradise City plans to apply preferential room rates for Lotte Duty Free customers.
In addition, promotional videos on the collaboration with Paradise City will be aired at Lotte Duty Free stores and at Star Avenue in the Myeong-dong main store to expand customer touchpoints.
Namgung Pyo, head of marketing at Lotte Duty Free, said, "Through this agreement, we can provide foreign VIP customers with a premium experience that encompasses shopping and entertainment," and added, "We will help attract tourists visiting Korea with marketing that combines the strengths of both companies."
