The wine-based ready-to-drink (RTD) brand Squeeze Beer and convenience store GS25 jointly planned "Sauvignon Lemon Blanc Highball," which won the top honor in the spirits institutional sector at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
On the 28th, Squeeze Beer said Sauvignon Lemon Blanc Highball is an RTD product based on 34.5% wine, offering a point of difference from typical distilled-spirit-based highballs. By using wine instead of neutral spirits, it preserves wine's inherent aroma, acidity, and body. It delivers a clean yet deep flavor, earning reviews for achieving a natural balance of taste that is hard to find in conventional highball products.
It also includes actual lemon slice fruit to enhance visual freshness and flavor. Designed at 500 ml with 4.5% alcohol by volume, it can be enjoyed without burden. Sauvignon Lemon Blanc Highball is currently sold at GS25 and GS The Fresh.
Recently, the RTD alcohol market has evolved beyond products meant to be light and convenient to drink, toward emphasizing materials and supplies quality and flavor completeness. In this trend, Sauvignon Lemon Blanc Highball is evaluated as a product that presents a new category of wine highball and shows the potential to broaden the market base.
A Squeeze Beer official said, "This award recognizes the potential of the wine-based RTD market," and noted, "We plan to continue introducing new alcoholic beverage experiences based on differentiated ingredients and design."
