Hyundai Green Food said on the 26th that it will open a U.S. steakhouse chain Texas Roadhouse (TXRH) location in Seoul.
According to Hyundai Green Food that day, Texas Roadhouse is the No. 1 steakhouse in the United States by sales. After opening its first location in Indiana in 1993, it has opened about 800 locations in 11 countries including the United States, Mexico and Taiwan.
In Korea, starting with the first location at Hyundai Premium Outlet Space 1 in 2020, it is operating six locations including Songdo and Gimpo and Hyundai Department Store Jung-dong, Pangyo and The Hyundai Daegu, and the Seoul location is the first. The Texas Roadhouse Jamsil main store to open on the 28th in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, will be 505㎡ with 200 seats and will be open year-round.
To mark the opening, it will launch three new menu items—"pulled pork nachos," "honey lime chicken," and "chimichurri smother"—and run a promotion.
Lee Jong-pil, head of the dining business division (senior managing director) at Hyundai Green Food, said, "Texas Roadhouse Jamsil main store is the first flagship store to open in a core commercial district of Seoul, unlike department store and premium outlet locations situated in key commercial districts of Gyeonggi Province and major provincial cities," adding, "We will further enhance Hyundai Green Food's competitiveness in the dining business."
