Miso Agricultural Corporation in Bongdam, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, said on the 22nd that its premium distilled spirit "OAK HOLIC," produced by the company, won the grand prize in the distilled spirits institutional sector at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards, Korea's leading alcoholic beverage competition.
OAK HOLIC, which received the grand prize this time, is a premium rice distilled spirit with 41% alcohol by volume, characterized by combining a traditional rice distillation method with an oak-aging technique. The soft flavor unique to rice harmonizes with the deep notes and complex aromas derived from oak aging.
A Miso Agricultural Corporation official said, "This Korea Wine & Spirits Awards win is a meaningful result that recognizes the quality and potential of Korean rice distilled spirits," and added, "We will continue to promote the value of Korean traditional spirits in Korea and overseas through premium distilled spirits that combine traditional brewing techniques with modern aging methods."
