Kennedy House Spirits said on the 21st it won two grand prizes at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards, taking two crowns.
At this awards, Kennedy House Spirits won the grand prize in the brandy category with "Père Magloire Calvados XO." In the heavy rum category, "Pusser's Rum Original" took the grand prize. In particular, Père Magloire Calvados XO has won for three consecutive years.
Père Magloire Calvados XO is a flagship calvados, the traditional spirit produced in France's Normandy region. Calvados is made only from 100% Normandy apples. It is a traditional brandy protected under France's Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) system.
Founded in 1821, Père Magloire is a calvados producer with a history of more than 200 years that is recognized worldwide. It has built a reputation for intense, deep apple character. Père Magloire Calvados XO is completed after aging for more than nine years in oak casks.
Pusser's Rum Original is a historic rum based on the traditional British Royal Navy rum recipe. It originated from the rum ration tradition that was issued to Royal Navy sailors for centuries. It is produced on the basis of the Navy's official blending specifications of the time. Using a Double Wooden Pot Still with centuries of history, it creates a distinctive flavor and is made all-natural without artificial flavors or colorings.
A Kennedy House Spirits official said, "It is very meaningful that the two products won the grand prize simultaneously at this year's Korea Wine & Spirits Awards," adding, "We will continue to work to introduce world-class spirits with tradition and quality to domestic consumers."
