Asung Daiso (Asung Daiso Co.) topped 4 trillion won in annual sales for the first time last year.
Asung Daiso said on the 14th in its audit report that last year's sales rose 14.3% from a year earlier to 4.5364 trillion won, and operating profit increased 19.2% to 442.4 billion won. Net profit was 358.5 billion won, up 15.9% from 309.4 billion won a year earlier.
An Asung Daiso Co. official said, "Sales and operating profit in 2025 increased as rational, value-for-money consumption spread amid consumption polarization caused by high inflation," and noted, "Expanding strategic products such as cosmetics, fashion, and health functional foods, along with the popularity of seasonal and series products like Cool Summer and Christmas, propelled performance growth."
Regarding this year's plans, an Asung Daiso Co. official said, "We will make 'customer-centered management' our core, provide a variety of high-quality products, and focus our capabilities on strengthening store and logistics systems to stably supply cost-effective single-price products," adding, "We will continue to push management strategies that stay true to the essence of the single-price household-goods retail business."
Asung Daiso Co. is a single-price household-goods specialty retailer and, since opening its first store in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, in 1997, operates about 1,600 stores nationwide as of this year.
