Simmons said on the 13th that Beautyrest Black, the brand's top-of-the-line bed collection, received an "Excellent" rating from German research institute Dermatest.
Founded in 1978 in Germany, Dermatest is a globally recognized dermatological testing research institute where experts, including dermatologists, biologists, and food chemists, verify whether products that come into contact with skin cause irritation and assess their safety, and it grants certification marks only to products that meet all standards.
Simmons said, "In a patch test on an 'atopic skin group,' which applies the most stringent conditions among sensitive skin types, Beautyrest Black was recognized as a low-irritation product, providing objective proof that even people with sensitive skin can use it with confidence."
The models certified this time include all Beautyrest Black products, such as ▲ Kelly ▲ Deborah ▲ Marion ▲ Lucille ▲ Brigitte ▲ Lauren ▲ Ager.
Beautyrest Black is the top-of-the-line collection from Simmons Bed and has been recognized for its technology, maintaining double-digit growth every year since its launch in 2016. In March this year, monthly sales exceeded 500 units for the first time.
A Simmons official said, "With this Dermatest certification, we once again gained recognition for differentiated safety as an ultra-premium mattress," adding, "With this as a stepping stone, we will create a sleep environment that consumers can trust and feel reassured about, and further raise the standard for premium beds."
Meanwhile, Simmons Bed said that as continued adverse external conditions are expected this year, it plans to invest in facilities at Simmons Factoryum, the largest bed factory in Korea, to improve production efficiency and worker conditions.
