CJ OnStyle said on the 13th that collaborative merchandise with the 10 Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) clubs recorded a cumulative sales volume of 25,000 in four days. The merchandise launched at 11 a.m. on the 9th.
On the first day of the launch, order value exceeded the target by 333%. The share of new customers among app visitors that day was tallied at 65%. Some items, including the Odense straw cover set, sold out immediately after release.
The merchandise consists of about 10 types, including tumblers, straw cover sets, towel key rings, hand towel sets, uniform sachets, picnic mats, umbrellas for sun and rain, and scarves.
Traffic through social media (SNS) and over-the-top (OTT) platforms also increased. Clicks on the KBO merchandise special page within Tving doubled from usual, and on the launch day, seven of the top 10 items in the CJ OnStyle app popularity ranking were related products.
Pre-launch content also helped drive demand. On the 28th of last month, the mobile live commerce show "KBO 집중," hosted by entertainer Yu Byung-jae, recorded about 10 times the usual number of notification sign-ups and chat participation compared with regular broadcasts.
CJ OnStyle will introduce package products with discounts of up to 17% on the mobile live show "KBO 집중" at 8:50 p.m. on the 13th. The products will be sold in limited quantities through the 16th.
