Wine specialist import corporations Dongwon WinePlus said on the 9th that it produced three grand prize winners in the imported wine institutional sector at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is Korea's flagship liquor evaluation event, now in its 13th year. With the goal of "discovering good domestic liquor to promote it widely and supporting the formation of a sound drinking culture," ChosunBiz has held it annually since 2014.
This year's event drew 260 companies submitting a total of 1,118 brands. It is the largest among domestic evaluation events that cover general alcoholic beverages. Of these, 449 brands won the grand prize.
Dongwon WinePlus' "Ancient Land Cabernet Syrah" won the grand prize for five consecutive years through this year in the red wine Old World (under 30,000 won) institutional sector. "Ancient Land Chardonnay Sauvignon" won for the first time in the white wine Old World (under 30,000 won), and "Growers Touch Chardonnay" won for the first time in the white wine New World (30,000 won or more and under 60,000 won) institutional sector.
Ancient Land is one of Dongwon WinePlus' flagship brands and recently surpassed a cumulative 3 million bottles sold in Korea. Since its 2015 launch, it has maintained steady sales and is regarded as having established itself as a popular imported wine brand.
Ancient Land Cabernet Syrah is a red wine that combines the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruit aromas of Syrah. Ancient Land Chardonnay Sauvignon is a white wine noted for its acidity and citrus-family flavors. The Australian wine Growers Touch Chardonnay is cited for its strengths in aromas of peach and orange blossom and a balanced oak character.
A Dongwon WinePlus official said, "Following Ancient Land surpassing a cumulative 3 million bottles sold, three products won the grand prize at this awards," adding, "We will continue to steadily introduce wines that meet diverse consumer demand."
