Musinsa's modern basic casualwear brand Musinsa Standard said on the 8th that it will open a new store on the basement level 1 "Play Spot" of the Shinsegae Department Store Gwangju branch on the 16th. The new location is Musinsa Standard's 39th offline outpost and its first store in the Honam region.
The Shinsegae Department Store Gwangju branch sits in the new downtown area connected to the Gwangju General Bus Terminal and is considered a key commercial district with heavy foot traffic. Based on demand from Gwangju customers identified through online store data, Musinsa Standard plans to use this opening to expand touchpoints with local consumers.
The store will showcase new items from the 26 SS season for the Men and Women lines, as well as the expanding Beauty and Home lines. It is set to be designed as a space that offers a brand experience spanning the broader lifestyle beyond apparel.
A region-tailored promotion will also run to mark the first entry into the Honam area. From the 16th to the 19th, for four days, the "Open Expedition" event will offer discounts from 5% up to 20% depending on headcount for group visits of five or more. Customers who spend 70,000 won or more will receive a complimentary dessert in collaboration with "Judy Mary," a popular Gwangju dessert brand.
On the 16th and 17th, for two days, a "Super Bag" filled with popular items worth 300,000 won will be sold for 49,900 won, limited to 50 per day. During the same period, the first 100 customers each day will receive a coupon for up to 50% off, and special deals available only at the Shinsegae Department Store Gwangju branch will also be offered.
A Musinsa official said, "Starting with this Gwangju store, in the second half we will newly enter regions such as Jeju where we have not had touchpoints, and build out offline outposts on a nationwide scale."
