The management strategy office serves as the control tower overseeing Shinsegae Group, covering management strategy, investment and finance, and new business development.
With this reorganization, Shinsegae Group created an external cooperation division and transferred the public relations duties previously handled by the head of management support.
Kim Su-wan, the incumbent vice president heading management support at the Shinsegae Group management strategy office, will move to lead the newly established external cooperation division within the management strategy office.
Shinsegae Group's management strategy office had been operating under Deputy Minister Lim Young-rok with two units: overall management and management support. With the latest appointments, the overall management unit will be led by incumbent Vice President Jeon Sang-jin, and the management support unit will be handled by Executive Vice President Lee Gyu-bong.
The overall management unit mainly handles finance, administration, and management diagnostics, while the management support unit is responsible for personnel and audit functions.
