SCK Company, which operates Starbucks Korea, said on the 6th that last year's operating profit was 173.0 billion won, down 17.7 billion won (9.3%) from a year earlier.
Revenue for the same period was 3.238 trillion won, up 137.9 billion won (4.4%) from 3.1001 trillion won a year earlier. Last year's net profit was 142.5 billion won, down 9.0 billion won (5.9%) from 151.5 billion won a year earlier.
A Starbucks official said, "Last year, profit decreased due to the impact of the strong dollar and higher costs for coffee beans and other materials and supplies," and added, "We will continue to open specialized stores, diversify our product lineup by launching new products, and expand differentiated customer experiences and services by enhancing membership benefits."
