Pulmuone said on Apr. 5 that it held a tree-planting event with the Chungbuk Northern Regional Office of the Korea Forest Service on state-owned land in Seorun-ri, Salmi-myeon, Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, to mark Arbor Day (Apr. 5).
Hosted by Pulmuone Academy, the tree-planting event was held on the 3rd. Pulmuone Academy is a Pulmuone training center in Cheongcheon-myeon, Goesan County, North Chungcheong Province, and in 2013 it signed an agreement with the Korea Forest Service to create a Forest of the People. By designating 14 hectares of state-owned forest around San 55, Pyeongdan-ri, Cheongcheon-myeon, Goesan County, as the "Forest of the People," it has contributed to enhancing the public value of forests.
A total of 110 officials, including the head of the Chungbuk Northern Regional Office of the Korea Forest Service, the Chungju National Forest Management Office, Pulmuone, and SK Forestry, took part and planted 4,200 amur privet trees. Pulmuone provided its products to participants, including a seaweed gift set, I'm Real, and Brigitok.
A Pulmuone official said, "Through a public-private Arbor Day event, we were able to experience the public value of forests and the importance of ecological conservation," adding, "We will continue to contribute to creating a healthy forest environment and practicing carbon neutrality through cooperation."
