BonIF's premium Korean food brand "Bondosirak" said on the 3rd that it unveiled its one-person healthy ssambap brand "Bondosirak SODAM" (hereafter SODAM) for the first time. The first directly operated store of SODAM is the Yeongdeungpo Mullae branch.
SODAM is an extension brand of Bondosirak that builds a set meal menu specialized in ssambap based on Korean cooked dishes. As dine-in restaurants where people can enjoy Korean food have declined recently, it was planned in response to demand for ssambap, which can amply provide a healthy meal. SODAM carries the meaning of "humble and sincerely prepared healthy ssambap."
In particular, it uses the fundamentals of Korean cuisine: "rice, ssam (vegetables), and jang (fermented sauces)." According to Bondosirak, it completes the deep flavors of Korean food with freshly cooked pot rice made from domestic Miho rice, fresh ssam vegetables, and traditional jang. The ssambap set meal includes pot rice; a choice of fire-grilled items (spicy stir-fried pork, Gwangyang-style crispy bulgogi, grilled pork belly, tteokgalbi, or seokgalbi); ureong gangdoenjang made with domestic river snails; jjigae; ssam vegetables; and basic side dishes.
A grand opening event for the first store will also run for takeout customers through the 8th. Customers can buy the signature "fire-grilled spicy stir-fried pork ssambap set meal" at a 3,000 won discount.
Baek Min-seon, head of brand planning at BonIF, said, "We will work to ensure that 'Bondosirak SODAM' becomes a dependable choice for customers who seek a warm and healthy home-style meal even in their busy daily lives."
