HwaGang Liquor corporations, a comprehensive liquor import and distribution company, said on the 2nd that eight alcoholic beverages it officially imports and distributes won the grand prize at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
HwaGang Liquor said, "Xifengjiu, one of China's four great famous liquors, and Shedejiu, which adopts the Eastern value of 'you must empty to be able to fill' as its brand identity, jointly won the grand prize," and noted, "It was the moment when the liquors of two brands that have secured a firm position in China's premium market were recognized for their value in Korea as well."
At the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards, HwaGang Liquor won evenly across the baijiu institutional sector and the wine institutional sector. In the China baijiu institutional sector, a total of four products won: Xifengjiu Gold 20 Years, Xifengjiu Blackpink 10 Years, Shede Shanzhidu, and Shede Classic.
Xifengjiu, called "a liquor that condenses China's history," is the representative famous liquor of the fengxiang (phoenix aroma) style of baijiu and is highly regarded for its deep aroma, complex flavors, and balanced taste. In particular, its premium lineup, aged long-term, is characterized by a smooth yet weighty finish and is recognized for its value as a high-end banquet liquor.
Shedejiu is characterized by the rich aroma unique to the nongxiang (strong aroma) style and an oily texture, and it received high marks for being rounded and deep rather than pungent, with superior maturity and balance.
In the wine institutional sector, a total of four products won: Academia F'carii Saperavi, F'carii Sapiens Lala Nagra, Bostavan Flight Mode rosé, and F'carii Sapiens rosé.
Moldova's F'carii, regarded as one of the world's top wineries, combined tradition with modern winemaking techniques to deliver premium wines that delicately express varietal character, and Bostavan wines from Moldova's largest wine-producing region, known for excellent quality and value, received high marks from the judges.
HwaGang Liquor is distributing and selling a wide range of alcoholic beverages in the domestic market, centered on Xifengjiu, one of China's four great famous liquors, as well as wines from Moldova's F'carii and Bostavan wineries. In the first half of this year, it plans to officially import and sell in Korea Shede, a famous liquor from Sichuan, China, which enjoys significant recognition in China and presents philosophical, cultural, and artistic value through storytelling.
