Lotte Shopping's e-commerce platform LOTTE ON said on the 1st that it launched a new service, "Fashion AI."
Fashion AI is a conversational search service specialized for the fashion category that recommends customized products when customers enter their desired style and situation. It features an expanded exploration experience beyond traditional keyword search.
LOTTE ON planned this service to supplement the limits of keyword-centered search. For fashion products, selection criteria vary by customer preference and situation even for the same jacket, so in some cases it is hard to find the desired product with a simple search. Accordingly, it enables customers to view products more intuitively and conveniently.
In Fashion AI, products are recommended by reflecting various conditions such as style and time, place and occasion (TPO). For example, if users enter specific situations like "spring wedding guest look dress" or "work blouse," they can receive suggestions for suitable products. Customers can find what they want faster and more accurately. It also recognizes emotive expressions such as "bright-colored cardigan" and "airy T-shirt" to provide recommendation results. By identifying product materials, it even allows users to check washing and care instructions.
LOTTE ON plans to further strengthen its competitiveness in the fashion category through this service. LOTTE ON will also advance Fashion AI so it can identify information in conversations and recommend additional related products.
Bang Hyeon-woo, managing director of LOTTE ON's platform and AI division, said, "We are introducing the Fashion AI service, which enables conversational search so customers can find the fashion products they want more easily and quickly," adding, "We will continue to use AI to provide a personalized shopping experience."
