Starbucks Korea said on the 31st that it will reintroduce the discontinued "chai tea latte" on Apr. 1 for April Fools' Day.
The "chai tea latte" is a drink that built a fan base with its spicy aroma, cinnamon scent, and chai flavor, and sales ended in Korea in 2024. Since customers have continued to ask for its return, Starbucks said it will offer it for a limited two-week run from Apr. 1 to Apr. 14 to mark April Fools' Day.
The drink will be sold at 112 locations inside Shinsegae affiliates, including E-MART, Starfield, and Shinsegae Department Store. On the launch day, Apr. 1, the first 30 customers per store will receive a free tall chai tea latte when they order directly from a partner.
A Starbucks official said, "To mark April Fools' Day, we planned this chai tea latte reintroduction event to offer a fun and unique customer experience."
