Burger King said on the 30th that it will hold a discount promotion for April Fools' Day (April 1).
The concept of the promotion is a store manager's "ordering mistake" of buying too many buns. It was planned to offer practical price benefits through an in-store and online appeal reading, "We have too many Whopper buns left. With tears in our eyes, we're discounting Whoppers."
The promotion runs from today through May 3. Whoppers and bulgogi Whoppers will be sold for 3,900 won, about 47% off, and Cheese Whoppers for 4,500 won. The discount scope also extends to each set menu and large sets. Purchases are limited to a maximum of five items per person.
A Burger King official said, "We prepared this promotion to turn April Fools' Day into a festival to enjoy with consumers," adding, "With a witty setup and generous benefits, we will provide a differentiated brand experience unique to Burger King."
