Orion Group said on the 26th that it will implement an energy-saving policy for all employees across its domestic affiliates starting on the 27th.
Orion Group will implement a "five-day vehicle rotation system" for all employees' cars, excluding essential business vehicles used for sales and production.
At the same time, to reduce energy use in office spaces, the company will turn off lights during lunch and after work, cut standby power by shutting down PCs outside working hours, and refrain from using elevators and heating or cooling systems.
In addition, the company provided guidance to employees on everyday energy saving, such as refraining from using disposable items like plastic and encouraging the use of public transportation for commuting.
An Orion official said the company "intends to actively participate in the government's energy-saving policy in response to the surge in international oil and energy prices."
