Lotte, Shinsegae, and Hyundai Department Store, the three major department store chains, will all launch their spring regular sales starting on the 27th. Along with discounts on new spring-season products, they plan to draw customers with wine events, pop-up stores, and hands-on activities.
Lotte Department Store will run its "Spring Sale (SPRING SALE)" at all locations from the 27th to April 5. As the first regular sale including spring/summer (S/S) season items with about 360 brands participating, fashion products will be discounted up to 50%, and accessories and jewelry up to 30%. Lifestyle items such as interior goods and kitchenware are also included.
Lotte Department Store will also target dining demand with "Lotte Gourmet Week (LOTTE GOURMET WEEK)" and various pop-up stores, and from April 3 to 12 it will introduce a "Wedding Fair" for engaged couples.
Shinsegae Department Store will hold its spring regular discount event, "Only Shinsegae Sale (only SHINSEGAE SALE)," from the 27th to April 12. About 400 brands will participate, offering special deals, and it will also run its largest in-house liquor event, the "Shinsegae Wine Festa." The Wine Festa will be held from the 27th to April 2, with various promotions including discount coupons and card benefits.
Shinsegae Department Store will also prepare the "Shinsegae Global Shopping Festa" to capture demand during China's Qingming Festival travel period and will step up efforts to attract foreign customers by, for example, providing an additional 10% of the refund amount to UnionPay tax-refund customers.
Hyundai Department Store will also run "The Sale (THE SALE)" from the 27th to April 12. About 200 brands in categories such as fashion, accessories, and sports will offer up to 50% off spring-season products from their initial selling prices.
Hyundai Department Store will hold a "Spring Golf Expo" at its Pangyo and Mok-dong locations to offer discounts on golf wear, and will run a Nike discount event and a bakery fair at its Trade Center and Mia locations, respectively. It also plans hands-on content aimed at families, including an exhibition of large bear balloons.
