Lotte Mart and Super will bring to Korea for the first time Korean instant noodles that were sold only overseas.
Lotte Mart and Super said on the 25th that they will release "Nongshim Soon Ramyun (4-pack)" in Korea for the first time on the 26th. Soon Ramyun is an export-only product sold only in overseas markets such as the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Along with Shin Ramyun and Chapagetti, it ranks in the global top five in sales for Nongshim as a bestseller, and it is the No. 1 seller among instant noodles not released in Korea.
Soon Ramyun is characterized by a mild flavor that is not stimulating. For this release, dried noodles were applied to reduce calorie concerns while enhancing texture. In a market centered on spicy instant noodles, the company plans to target family demand with a clean taste while also appealing to Millennials and Gen Z who prioritize value consumption by highlighting that it is a vegan-certified product.
The product will be released as an exclusive pre-sale to coincide with the opening of Mega Tongkeun, the Lotte Mart and Super anniversary event. A promotion to mark the launch will also run. Through on the 8th of next month, customers who buy two or more packs of Soon Ramyun will get a 10% discount, and on the 4th and 5th, a 2+1 deal will apply to all bagged instant noodles, including this product, when paying with the event card.
